About The Position

Chevo is hiring a Federal Graphics Design Specialist to join our expanding firm. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business and becoming a trusted advisor. Ideal candidates will demonstrate prior visual communication experience strengthening communications with key stakeholders, users, and federal clients. This position is currently remote but will be located in Washington, DC at the appropriate time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, or related discipline
  • 5 years of experience as a Graphic Artist with excellent illustration and design skills.
  • Full proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro.
  • Experience using MS Office software with emphasis on graphic creation in PowerPoint and formatting/design skills in Word
  • Section 508 compliance and remediation experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro and MS Office products
  • Ability to operate under minimum supervision where appropriate and understand when to escalate issues to management
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor
  • Possess great attention to detail and effective time management skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Web design experience a plus
  • Experience with After Effects a plus
  • Experience posting press releases and communications on Social Media platforms a plus
  • Prior experience developing graphics for proposals is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide graphics support for our clients and internal corporate needs
  • Review layouts, sketches, and final plans for production and evaluate artistic media
  • Prepare designs, illustrations, graphs, charts, iconography, exhibits, and digital publishing products for internal and external projects
  • Produce graphic communication products for various communication and social media platforms
  • Select materials, processes, and design formats without guidance
  • Support development of executive communication materials, press releases, and other communications
  • Provide Section 508 remediation for PDF and MS Office documents as required
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks in execution of client mission priorities as needed
