About The Position

As federal food program subsidy manager you will oversee the administration, financial reimbursement, and regulatory compliance of the Child Care Food Program (CACFP). You will manage budgets, audit claims, ensure federal nutrition standards are met, and coordinate reporting with agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, nutrition, social work, or a related field.
  • 3 to 7 years of program management experience, specifically working with government grants. (CACFP).
  • Strong proficiency in financial tracking, database management, and regulatory analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to draft policy clarifications, train teams, and interface with government officials.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all meal services and operational procedures match strict federal, state, and local guidelines.
  • Manage program budgets, track funding allocations, and oversee the processing of accurate reimbursement claims.
  • Conduct internal audits, verify eligibility documentation, and submit periodic progress or financial reports to federal and state authorities. Coordinate and Participate in all CACFP audits.
  • Train site staff on policy updates, proper documentation, and nutritional requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the organization and federal oversight bodies (such as the USDA).
