About The Position

We are seeking a Federal Audit Manager to join our team supporting the Department of Defense in Washington DC. This role involves applying accounting principles and theories to assist management in making informed decisions, solving complex problems, and helping managers improve performance in accordance with laws, standards, and regulations. The manager will oversee projects, provide guidance, participate in engagement planning, design and implement accounting or audit projects, analyze and develop client solutions, interface with clients daily, direct project completion within time and budget constraints, ensure deliverables are compliant with the PWS, and manage day-to-day activities while reviewing work products for completeness and adherence to regulations and customer requirements. The role also includes delivering presentations and leading client meetings.

Requirements

  • 6 years of applicable financial or business experience, including at least 2 years with the government leading and providing technical direction on audit and/or audit advisory projects.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • Knowledgeable in OMB Circulars A-123, Management’s Responsibility for Internal Control; A-127, Financial Management Systems; A-134, Financial Accounting Principles and Standards; and the Federal Information Systems Controls Audit Manual requirements.
  • Experience working with DoD/DLA
  • Secret IT-II (T3) clearance
  • U.S. Citizen

  • Manages day-to-day activities and review work products for completeness and adherence to applicable regulations and customer requirements.
  • Delivers presentations and leads client meetings.
