About The Position

This is a fully remote position. The Federal Account Executive is responsible for developing and expanding business within Federal civilian agencies, the Department of War, Federal contractors, and strategic systems integrators. Serving as a trusted advisor, this individual identifies customer business challenges, uncovers opportunities through consultative discovery, and delivers software, professional services, and technology solutions that improve mission outcomes. The role manages the complete sales cycle while building long-term executive relationships that drive recurring revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of successful B2B technology, software, or professional services sales experience.
  • Experience selling into the Public Sector, including Federal, State, or Local Government organizations, or Federal contractors preferred.
  • Experience selling enterprise software, SaaS, engineering technology, GIS, infrastructure, digital transformation, manufacturing technology, or consulting services preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and partner relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, organizational, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling Autodesk, Bluebeam, Esri, IBM Maximo, Bentley, Hexagon, or other engineering, GIS, infrastructure, manufacturing, or asset management software solutions.
  • Familiarity with Public Sector procurement processes and acquisition contracts, including GSA, NASA SEWP, ESI, or similar contract vehicles.
  • Understanding of FedRAMP, CMMC, digital engineering, BIM, GIS, asset management, manufacturing, or infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Existing relationships within Federal agencies, Department of War organizations, Federal contractors, systems integrators, or strategic channel partners.
  • Experience working with value-added resellers, distributors, or strategic channel partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities within assigned Federal accounts and territories.
  • Grow existing customer relationships through strategic account planning and consultative selling.
  • Prospect into Federal civilian agencies, Department of War organizations, Federal contractors, and strategic systems integrators.
  • Build and maintain relationships with executive sponsors, program managers, engineering leadership, IT leadership, acquisition personnel, and contracting organizations.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of software, professional services, consulting, and training opportunities.
  • Lead the sales process from prospecting through contract negotiation and close.
  • Position and sell Autodesk software, Symetri professional services, and related technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with Autodesk, TD SYNNEX Public Sector (DLT), and other strategic partners to develop new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate internal technical, professional services, and leadership resources to deliver customer solutions.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline, and forecast information in Salesforce.
  • Represent Symetri at customer meetings, conferences, partner events, and industry activities.
  • Achieve assigned revenue, gross profit, pipeline, and activity objectives.
