About The Position

National Beef Packing in Kansas City, Missouri, is looking for a qualified professional to join our team as Fed Cattle Scheduler. This position is responsible for managing the flow of cattle from fed cattle suppliers to our Liberal, KS and Dodge City, KS and Tama, IA processing plants.

Requirements

Ability to effectively organize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Reasoning and problem solving ability
Ability to visualize geographic locations and the flow of transportation
Ability to interact with several areas of the company
High energy level with a strong sense of urgency

Strong work ethic and able to work an early morning schedule
Focus on the bottom line of the company
Strong personal value system
Computer skills including Microsoft Office
Strong work ethic
Desire to progress in the beef industry
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of beef production
Knowledge of cattle feeding processes
Degree in Animal or Meat Science with emphasis on cattle or beef production

Responsibilities

Communicate shipment schedules accurately and timely to suppliers while monitoring actual cattle deliveries
Work closely with field buyers, fed cattle suppliers, National Carriers Livestock Transportation as well as outside livestock carriers to ensure adequate quantities of cattle are delivered to each processing facility as directed
Other duties as assigned
