About The Position

Provides supervision and instruction to children in early childhood classroom. Develops and implements lesson plans and daily schedules; maintains all applicable licensing and accreditation guidelines; assesses children’s learning and development and coordinates services and communicate regularly with families.

Requirements

  • Child Development Associate Credential; Certificate of Mastery in early childhood, child development; or 18 college credit hours in early childhood, child development, human and family services, elementary education, family and consumer science or other related field
  • One (1) year of experience working with adolescents, volunteer work, teaching or coaching.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • Possess or ability to obtain Entry Level Child Care Training (ELECT) within 90 days of employment.
  • The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
  • Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
