About The Position

This position serves as a senior operational leadership role supporting the Chief Program Officer – Facility Based Crisis Services in the oversight and coordination of all Child and Adult Facility Based Crisis (FBC) programs. The position is responsible for assisting with the daily operational monitoring of Regional Operations Directors and supporting the implementation of organizational priorities, initiatives, and standardized practices across all FBC locations. The Senior Regional Operations Director provides leadership development, mentoring, onboarding, operational training, and performance support to Regional Operations Directors and emerging leaders. This role assists with ensuring consistency in service delivery, operational performance, regulatory compliance, staffing support, and implementation of strategic initiatives across the FBC continuum. This position requires strong operational knowledge of behavioral health crisis services, leadership development abilities, organizational and project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership, regional leadership, center leadership, and support departments.

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other license eligible field preferred; MBA or other business degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years of clinical practice and administrative supervisory experience required.
  • Prefer minimum of at least two years’ experience working with children.
  • Will consider other non-licensable degrees with commensurate work experience and skills, including BSN or RN.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Chief Program Officer with the daily operational oversight of Child and Adult Facility Based Crisis programs to ensure consistency in operations, staffing, service delivery, quality outcomes, and financial sustainability across all centers.
  • Collaborates with Regional Operations Directors and Center Directors to identify operational barriers, staffing concerns, workflow inefficiencies, training needs, and opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Provides direct mentoring, coaching, onboarding, education, and leadership development to Regional Operations Directors and developing leaders.
  • Assists with training newly hired Regional Directors on operational expectations, regulatory standards, staffing oversight, and performance management.
  • Assists with operationalizing organizational priorities, strategic initiatives, projects, workflows, and process improvement efforts across all Facility Based Crisis programs. Monitors progress and provides follow-up support to ensure implementation consistency.
  • Assists with monitoring key operational and quality indicators including staffing metrics, admission trends, discharge planning, authorization concerns, incident trends, regulatory compliance, and patient satisfaction outcomes.
  • Assists with development and implementation of standardized operational processes, training materials, leadership tools, and organizational expectations across all FBC programs.
  • Serves as operational support and liaison between executive leadership and FBC operations to promote communication, accountability, consistency, and organizational alignment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Program Officer or executive leadership.
