About The Position

The Fatherhood Mobility Coach is responsible for providing family-centered coaching to fathers and father figures within NKCAC's service region. This includes conducting assessments, developing goal plans, providing advocacy, coordinating services, delivering prevention education, offering follow-up support, and reporting on performance. The role aims to increase family stability, strengthen parenting skills, improve economic mobility, reduce barriers, and decrease risk factors associated with substance misuse. The position also involves coordinating with agency team members and community partners to help families achieve stability and self-sufficiency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and listening skills
  • Efficient time management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic databases
  • Compassion and empathy with the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions, inspire and motivate
  • Ability to follow and apply written and verbal instructions
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license with proof of insurance
  • Must pass criminal background check and alcohol/drug screening
  • Ability to bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and engage in a full range of motion.
  • Ability to sit, read, and type at a computer for up to 8 hours a per day.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Social Work, Human/Family Services, Counseling, or related field or equivalent job experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Obtain a Human Services Credential within one (1) year of hire.
  • Conduct intake assessments and develop Family Success Plans to coordinate services and facilitate participant action steps.
  • Provide strengths-based coaching focused on father engagement, family stability, healthy relationships, parenting, and economic mobility.
  • Deliver prevention education related to substance misuse awareness, healthy decision-making, resilience, and protective factors.
  • Document participant progress, services, referrals, and outcomes within the agency's case management system.
  • Conduct home visits, office visits, community meetings, and other participant contacts as needed.
  • Coordinate with NKCAC staff and community partners to provide a holistic set of services that assist fathers in reaching goals.
  • Assist participants with accessing employment services, education, workforce training, behavioral health services, housing resources, and legal supports.
  • Support fathers in strengthening relationships with their children and increasing positive family engagement.
  • Coordinate and facilitate workshops, support groups, and educational activities related to fatherhood, parenting, healthy relationships, financial stability, and family well-being.
  • Maintain balanced work schedules that include office-based activities, community outreach, networking, and direct participant engagement.
  • Develop and maintain positive collaborative relationships with workforce, behavioral health, legal aid, family-serving agencies, courts, and other community partners.
  • Recruit and enroll eligible fathers into the Fatherhood & Family Resilience Program.
  • Maintain and support fatherhood caseload through intensive, family-centered coaching.
  • Track program outcomes and performance measures related to enrollment, participation, referrals, employment, family stability, and goal attainment.
  • Ensure compliance with program requirements, agency policies, and grant performance expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
