Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service. Operates the cash register accurately, scans products, and handles transactions. Requirements

Ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables and limited standardization.

No education or experience requirements.
Must be able to physically perform medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions.
Greets customers in a friendly manner and makes an effort to learn and use their names.
Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing items, loading/unloading heavy items, and noting customer suggestions.
Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service.
Works collaboratively with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
Operates the cash register accurately, scans product, and manages cash drawer levels.
Handles various payment transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, and in-store charges, and issues receipts.
Bags merchandise and provides packages to customers.
Assists with inventory of the department.
Receives and checks in delivered merchandise and stores it appropriately.
Fills displays and stocks shelves.
Maintains the exterior lot, including shoveling sidewalks, spreading ice melt, and replenishing window washer fluid.
Removes trash both inside and outside in a timely manner.
Checks in product, puts product away, and may review invoices.
Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures, ensuring the work area is always clean and neat.
Cleans various areas including registers, restrooms, break rooms, and backrooms, and sweeps/mops floors.
Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
Orders merchandise and supplies as needed.
Prices products for customers as necessary.
Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
