About The Position

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service. Operates the cash register accurately, scans products, and handles transactions. Ensures the cleanliness of the store, maintains product quality and quantity, and manages supply needs for the store and pumps. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

Must be 18+ years old.
Ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables and limited standardization.
Ability to interpret instructions.
Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Ability to file, post, and mail materials.
Ability to copy data from one record to another.
Ability to interview to obtain basic information.
Ability to guide people and provide basic direction.
No education or experience requirements.

Responsibilities

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions.
Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner.
Learns customers’ names and addresses them by name whenever possible.
Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing products out of reach, loading/unloading heavy items, and noting/passing along customer suggestions.
Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service.
Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
Operates cash register accurately, scans product, and reports improper cash levels.
Redeems promotional coupons, food stamps, receives cash, checks, completes credit-card charge transactions, in-store charges, and figures discounts.
Counts back change and issues receipts.
Places merchandise in bags or boxes and gives packages to customers.
Assists with inventory of the department.
Receives and checks in delivered merchandise and places it in the appropriate storage area.
Fills displays and stocks shelves.
Ensures proper maintenance of the lot, including shoveling sidewalks, spreading ice melt, and hosing down the lot.
Fills outside towel holders and replenishes or refreshes window washer fluid.
Removes trash inside and out in a timely manner.
Checks in product, puts product away, and may review invoices.
Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures and ensures the work area is always clean and neat.
Cleans registers, restrooms, break room, and backroom; sweeps and mops the floor, and tends to supply needs.
Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
Orders merchandise and supplies as needed.
Prices products for customers as necessary.
Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
