About The Position

The Fast-Food Attendant (FFA) is responsible for performing a variety of duties within a fast food / snack bar establishment. This may include completing customer transactions, cleaning food or stock areas, food preparation and cooking, working the line, and stocking product. The role also involves performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Cashier experience in a food and beverage environment highly desirable.
  • Excellent guest service abilities while working directly with the public.
  • Basic mathematics skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly.
  • Able to develop cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers and takes food orders, providing menu information and opportunities to up-sell products.
  • Strives to meet the CORE model for guest service: eye contact, smiles, speaks enthusiastically, and stays connected.
  • Accurately and efficiently cooks meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products, and prepares/portions food items prior to cooking.
  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking using various kitchen equipment.
  • Operates the cash register, receives payments (cash or credit card), accurately counts and provides change, and follows all guest experience and cash handling policies.
  • Cleans and stocks the work area.
  • Assists in locating, reconciling, and verifying the accuracy of transactions and operates equipment with peripheral electronic data processing.
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart.
  • Assists with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed, including product assembly and food preparation.
  • Mixes ingredients using a blending machine or manually to achieve a uniform mixture.
  • Rolls, cuts, and shapes dough according to desired sizes before placing in pans, molds, or on sheets for heating.
  • Places dough in pans, molds, or on sheets before depositing in ovens for baking.
  • Receives inventory, moves, and lifts food and beverage products and supplies.
  • Maintains a solid knowledge of product and services available in the unit.
  • Stocks, stores, rotates, and checks the temperature of products.
  • Cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment.
  • Cleans and washes dishes, cutlery, utensils, pots, pans, and all other cooking tools.
