About The Position

Uptown Cheapskate Woodlands is seeking a strong Assistant Leader with the ability to manage staff, lead their buying team, and assist with strong inventory management/organization skills. They are looking for a go-getter who gets the job done, possesses team spirit, and maintains a positive attitude. Uptown Cheapskate is a retail store that buys, sells, and trades styles from top brands, with a style leaning towards young adults. They are committed to sustainable fashion and reducing the impact of the fashion industry on the planet. Since 2015, Uptown Cheapskate has partnered with Kid to Kid and buildOn to raise money for building schools in developing countries.

Requirements

• At least 1-3 years of experience in Fashion Retail within the last 4 years
• Must be a team player
• Have GREAT initiative
• Be Responsible & a fast learner
• Must have open availability on weekends
• Must have Strong Ethics

Responsibilities

• Evaluate & price inventory using proprietary software
• Manage inventory through regular markdowns and merchandising
• Direct a team of 8-20 people daily
• Assist with leadership expertise and be driven
• Work with Store Management to consistently meet store goals
• Fill in for call-outs from staff members
