We are looking for a visionary Fashion Creative Director to architect, lead, and launch an original in-house brand powered by THE/STUDIO’s manufacturing ecosystem. This is not a traditional design role. You will act as the Founder-in-Residence, operating at the high-impact intersection of brand storytelling, industrial design, and supply chain innovation. You will have full creative autonomy to build a brand from the ground up, using our global manufacturing network as your playground. Beyond aesthetics, you are a strategic partner. You will use this brand as a "live lab" to stress-test our supply chain, provide high-level advisory to our top-tier customers, and help shape the future of THE/STUDIO’s proprietary manufacturing software.

Requirements

  • Proven track record (7+ years) of launching a fashion brand or leading creative direction for an established label. We want to see a portfolio that shows both artistry and commercial success.
  • You understand garment construction, textiles, and the "physics" of manufacturing deeply.
  • Experience navigating the "gray areas" of a startup. You have a bias toward action and the seniority to make high-stakes decisions without a roadmap.
  • Expert-level apparel knowledge is required; experience in jewelry, accessories, or home decor is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to translate complex manufacturing constraints into clear creative directions for internal teams and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Define the DNA: Establish the brand’s visual identity, voice, and market positioning.
  • End-to-End Design: Lead the creation of apparel collections (and potentially accessories/home) from initial mood boards to production-ready tech packs.
  • Storytelling: Oversee the "world-building" of the brand, ensuring the aesthetic translates across product, packaging, and digital presence.
  • Factory Partnership: Work directly with global production partners to push the boundaries of what’s possible in material sourcing and construction.
  • System Optimization: Act as a "Power User" to identify friction points in our manufacturing workflow, providing feedback to our product and engineering teams to improve our software.
  • Cost & Quality Governance: Balance high-concept design with the commercial realities of costing, lead times, and scalability.
  • Executive Consultant: Advise THE/STUDIO’s leadership on industry trends, manufacturing best practices, and design innovation.
  • Customer Ambassador: Join high-stakes calls with key customers to provide expert guidance on how to scale their own brands using our ecosystem.
