About The Position

This position is responsible for supervising and developing hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring them. The role involves assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and consistently communicating expectations to foster a sense of belonging in the workplace. The Fashion Coach will also recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential. Additionally, the role requires coordinating and completing job-related activities by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals, building accountability, measuring progress, and identifying improvement opportunities. The Fashion Coach will lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, providing feedback through store tours (Tour-to-Teach), and communicating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. They will also introduce and lead company change efforts, provide clear expectations and guidance for implementing business solutions, and effectively communicate business objectives to teams. The role models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing customer service initiatives, ensuring customer needs are resolved, developing action plans to correct deficiencies, and providing process improvement leadership. The Fashion Coach ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supports the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity, and upholds the Open Door Policy. Finally, the role drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgets and expenses, monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes, and developing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.

Requirements

  • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
