About The Position

The Coach is responsible for leading and developing associates, driving business and operational performance, and delivering a positive customer experience. This role oversees day-to-day operations, establishes clear expectations, develops talent, and promotes accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The Coach partners with associates, leaders, and key stakeholders to execute business priorities, achieve performance goals, and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety standards, and expectations. Through effective leadership, communication, and decision-making, the Coach creates an inclusive, high-performing environment where associates are empowered to succeed and customers remain at the center of the business.

Requirements

  • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing

  • Provides ongoing coaching, guidance, and support to associates while addressing performance and development opportunities.
  • Drives business performance by reviewing results, identifying trends and opportunities, and implementing action plans to achieve operational and financial goals.
  • Supports budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and other business activities appropriate to the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Monitors key performance indicators and operational standards to identify opportunities to improve productivity, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures effective execution of business priorities while balancing customer, associate, and operational needs.
  • Uses data and business insights to make informed decisions and drive results.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service by ensuring associates understand and consistently meet customer expectations.
  • Identifies customer needs and ensures concerns, questions, and issues are addressed appropriately and effectively.
  • Develops and implements solutions to improve the customer experience and address identified opportunities.
  • Models customer-focused behaviors and creates an environment where associates are empowered to serve customers effectively.
  • Oversees daily operations within the assigned area of responsibility to ensure efficient and consistent execution.
  • Plans and coordinates workloads, staffing, resources, and priorities based on business and customer needs.
  • Ensures operational processes, procedures, and standards are executed accurately and consistently.
  • Identifies operational challenges and implements solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, quality, and overall performance.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, safe, and productive work environment.
  • Coordinates business initiatives by developing relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans that meet customer and business needs.
  • Communicates goals, expectations, priorities, and performance standards while measuring progress and driving accountability for results.
