About The Position

Uptown Cheapskate Woodlands is seeking a strong Assistant Manager who can assist in leading a team, lead their buy staff, and assist with inventory management. They are looking for a go-getter who gets the job done, has team spirit, and a positive attitude. Uptown Cheapskate is an exciting retail store concept that sells quality clothing brands at affordable prices. Every month, our franchise stores buy and resell thousands of clothing items that have been gently used at a fraction of the prices originally charged. Our stores feel more like a boutique than a thrift shop, allowing more people to feel comfortable shopping second-hand. At Uptown Cheapskate, we have a passion for sustainable fashion. We are dedicated to reducing the impact of the fashion industry on the planet by being green 365 days per year. Since 2015, Uptown Cheapskate has joined forces with Kid to Kid and buildOn across the nation to raise money to build schools in developing countries. With the support of tens of thousands of customers all across the nation, we’ve far surpassed our initial goal and have raised over $600,000 and funded 18 schools (and counting!). This franchise is independently owned and operated by a franchisee. Your application will go directly to the franchisee, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this franchisee. Requirements

• At least 1-3 years of experience in Fashion Retail within the last 4 years
• Must be a team player
• Have GREAT initiative
• BE Responsible
• BE a fast learner
• Must have open availability on weekends
• Must work with Store Management to consistently meet Goals
• Must have STRONG WORK ETHIC!
• Be Ready to hit the ground running everyday!

Responsibilities

• Evaluate & price inventory using our proprietary software
• Manage inventory through regular markdowns and merchandising
• Direct a team of 8-20 people daily
• Assist with running the store with passion and drive
• Fill in for call-outs from staff members
