About The Position

This role involves general agricultural duties associated with farming. Responsibilities include preparing soil and growth medium, hauling and spreading topsoil, fertilizer, and other soil conditioners on sod grass and turf areas. Tasks also include digging, raking, and screening soil, loading and unloading trucks, and operating mowers and forklifts. Additionally, the position requires building and equipment maintenance, and repairing fences.

Requirements

• The ability to understand and carry out oral instructions.
• The ability to learn to use and/or operate light motor equipment.
• Must be currently enrolled in school.

Responsibilities

• Prepare soil and growth medium.
• Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, peat moss, lime and other soil conditions on sod grass and turf areas.
• Dig, rake, and screen soil.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Operate mowers and forklifts.
• General agricultural duties associated with farming.
• Building and equipment maintenance.
• Repairing fences, and similar tasks.
