About The Position

This position performs daily care for resort animals, grounds maintenance, assists with maintaining exteriors, and supports the Resort Services department as needed. Success in this role requires a positive attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous resort, hotel, landscaping, grounds keeping, or maintenance experience preferred but not required.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions year-round.
Ability to safely operate grounds maintenance equipment and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high resort standards.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks including walking, bending, lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.
Comfortable working around livestock and trained working dogs.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to pass Ruttger’s background check.
Stand; walk; sit; kneel; lift; push; pull; reach with arms and hands; move objects weighing up to forty (40) pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide daily care for the resort's goats and working dogs.
Monitor animal health and promptly report any concerns to appropriate staff.
Utilize trained dogs to deter geese from resort grounds and golf courses during migration seasons.
Move and maintain goat fencing as needed in coordination with the Golf Superintendent.
Clean up brush and vegetation after goat grazing activities.
Patrol resort property to remove litter and debris.
Empty and dispose of resort garbage and recycling daily.
Clean and maintain walkways, parking areas, building exteriors, signage, and outdoor lighting.
Assist with cleaning guest unit exteriors, patios, decks, and grills.
Perform brush and debris cleanup throughout the property.
Operate chainsaws, pole saws, and other grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
Assist with snow removal operations during winter months.
Help set up and maintain winter recreational activities.
Process and prepare firewood for resort use.
Perform additional seasonal grounds maintenance as required.
Deliver friendly, professional, and responsive guest service at all times.
Maintain positive communication and working relationships with all resort departments.
Assist other Resort Services team members and departments as needed.
Complete assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
Follow all resort safety policies and operating procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
