About The Position

This role is part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality, cost-effective products by prioritizing people, operational and environmental excellence, risk management, and customer satisfaction. At the farm level, this position oversees all aspects of operations, ensuring timely production while maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful work environment. The role also includes training and developing Associate Operations team members to support overall success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, with a solid understanding of animal flow, processing, ventilation, feeding, and vaccination protocols.
  • Basic computer proficiency required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships that encourage open communication, productivity, and a safe work environment.
  • Experience overseeing multiple teams performing similar functions.
  • No travel required.
  • This position operates within a strict biosecurity environment. Team members are required to shower prior to entering the facility and may need to shower multiple times throughout the workday. The Company provides appropriate clothing and footwear. Jewelry is not permitted on-site, with the exception of medical ID items. Employees must agree to avoid contact with other porcine species outside of work and adhere to all Company Animal Welfare policies at all times.
  • Team members must follow proper lifting techniques. This role requires regular standing, walking, sitting, and the use of hands for handling tools or equipment. Duties may also involve reaching, balancing, stooping, talking, and hearing. The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds is required.
  • Team members are expected to follow all safety protocols and consistently wear the required personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction, support, and leadership to all farm team members.
  • Oversee farm-level budgets, expenses, and production targets to ensure efficiency and cost control.
  • Maintain a safe work environment while ensuring strict adherence to biosecurity protocols across the farm.
  • Manage environmental responsibilities, including lagoon and pit levels, water and air quality, waste handling, and required reporting.
  • Support quality standards such as PQA while ensuring proper maintenance of facilities and housing.
  • Enforce and monitor company policies, standard operating procedures, and HR guidelines.
  • Accurately track and report production data, environmental metrics, safety incidents, and HR-related matters in a timely manner.
  • Perform other tasks as needed to support farm operations.
