As a Fanuc CNC Gundrill Operator at Mold Masters in Georgetown, Ontario, you will play a vital role in the production of high-precision systems that are critical to our customers' success. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will directly impact product quality, warranty performance, and customer satisfaction. The Fanuc CNC Gundrill Operator will oversee the setup, calibration, and operation of Fanuc CNC Gundrill machines to ensure precise and efficient drilling of metal or other materials. The operator will monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance to uphold production standards. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards to produce high-quality drilled components efficiently. Shift: Weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Shift: This is a weekend shift position, working Friday, Saturday and Sunday for a total of 35.5 hours with a shift premium to allow for being paid the equivalent of working 40 hours. Work You’ll Do: Setup and Calibration Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders. Select appropriate Gundrill tools and fixtures. Program and input machine parameters using Fanuc CNC control systems. Ensure proper alignment and calibration of the machine before operation. Operation Start and monitor Fanuc CNC Gundrill machines during production runs. Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain precision. Inspect drilled holes for accuracy, diameter, and quality. Document production data and report any discrepancies. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance. Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions or defects. Replace worn or damaged tools and components. Quality Control Conduct in-process inspections. Ensure finished products meet quality specifications. Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards. Basic Qualifications: Proven experience operating Fanuc CNC Gundrill machines or similar equipment. Strong understanding of Fanuc CNC programming and machine controls. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of safety protocols in manufacturing environments. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred. Experience with CAD/CAM software. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as micrometers and gauges. Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, machinery operation, and working in a climate-controlled environment.
