About The Position
The Fan Performance Testing Engineer executes field-testing operations for industrial fan systems and auxiliary equipment, ensuring high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting for systems such as boilers, kilns, and steel mill draft systems. The position oversees field-testing projects, equipment readiness, safety compliance, project coordination, test documentation, cost estimates, and inspection plans. It also supports improvements to estimation and reporting processes and develops training and standard operating procedures for new hires and junior analysts.
Requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work 40–50 hours per week, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights up to 300 feet.
- Willingness to work in extreme environmental conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and noise.
Nice To Haves
- Degree in Engineering or a related field; preferred but not mandatory.
- Field-testing experience; preferred but not mandatory.
- US passport; if not available, it can be obtained at a later date.
- Proficiency in or familiarity with flow and pressure testing equipment; preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with the MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and data analysis tools.
Responsibilities
- Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and performance management for field-testing projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies during field operations.
- Supervise and review field-testing programs to ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
- Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and maintained.
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to align project goals and deliverables.
- Write, review, and approve test plans and reports.
- Oversee development of cost estimates and inspection plans for new and existing projects.
- Analyze historical project data to improve estimation and reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and deliver training programs for new hires and junior analysts.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures and training materials.
