This position assists foster and birth parents by educating and modeling skills in positive parenting, behavior management, and problem-solving. The specialist supervises approved visits for youth and families, documenting each visit clearly. They model appropriate behavior and interactions, provide transportation as needed, and assist families in finding and utilizing community resources. The role requires writing clear, accurate, and timely progress notes and collaborating with agency programs and staff. Additionally, the specialist performs duties consistent with the agency's principles, values, policies, and procedures, models positive attitudes towards the agency's Mission, Vision, and Values, and maintains an organized calendar. Ongoing training is expected to expand professional skills.
