About The Position

Hanover Township Youth and Family Services is seeking to hire a Family Therapist (Full-Time) to assist with meeting its mission by providing direct intervention to families. This position is responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions that support emotional well-being, strengthen family systems, and promote positive youth development. The therapist will work collaboratively with Youth and Family Services staff, schools, community partners, and other social service agencies to ensure coordinated care for clients. This position is responsible for maintaining a caseload and collaborating with Youth and Family Services Outreach and Prevention staff and community providers to assess the clinical needs of Township residents. The ideal candidate should possess additional training and/or experience in family therapy and the ability to provide effective treatment utilizing a collaborative spirit, capacity to utilize support in the face of uncertainty and risk, willingness to embrace multiple forms of intervention within a coherent framework and model, and comfort with transparency linked with professional challenges and the mission of Youth and Family Services.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling psychology, Clinical Social Work, Clinical Psychology or Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
  • One year of experience working with children, adolescents and/or families.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to use and manage an electronic medical records system.
