About The Position

Assists individuals with identifying and modifying challenging behaviors in their home and community. Staff will educate, assist, and support families in the development and utilization of strategies and interventions to aid the individual and family overcome these challenges.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral issues.
Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
Dependable transportation
Functional knowledge of basic computer applications (i.e. word-processing, e-mail)
Ability to be sensitive and respectful of cultural/values/lifestyle differences in families
Ability to maintain professional boundaries

Nice To Haves

Experience with collaboration within a Community System of Care.
Experience utilizing Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy.

Responsibilities

Educate, assist, and support families in the development and utilization of strategies and interventions to aid the individual and family overcome challenging behaviors.
Work independently and set schedule according to the needs of individuals and their family.
Document completion as outlined by program guidelines.
Communicate clearly and respectfully in collaboration with individuals in the agency and community.
