Family Support Staff - Family Emergency Shelter
About The Position
The Auberle Homeless Shelters work with individuals and families to obtain and maintain long term housing solutions through case management, the development of life skills, and connection to resources. The Family Support Staff will engage individuals and families to support them in achieving their housing goals and addressing their housing needs. This role involves working with individuals and families as they enter and stay at the shelter to gather vital documents. The Support Staff will identify participants' urgent needs such as food, clothing, healthcare, education, and benefits and connect them to resources. They will also support participants in finding housing opportunities and completing applications, and connect them to additional resources such as employment, transportation, and childcare. Responsibilities include completing household budgets, verifying income and expenses, and conducting room inspections to ensure compliance with the participant program agreement for all rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances required.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Valid PA driver’s license, vehicle, registration, and proof of insurance.
- This position is shift work and shifts may include weekends, evenings, overnight, and holidays.
