Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field
- Prior experience preferred
- Communicates clearly and effectively.
- Must demonstrate English proficiency - both oral and written
- Demonstrates good computer skills.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including recruitment and community outreach efforts during evening hours and weekends as needed.
- Ability to physically care for children when needed.
Nice To Haves
- Valid NJ driver’s license preferred and use of own vehicle for self-transportation; local travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with expectant families through regular home visits, family contacts, and individualized family partnership plans.
- Connect families with community resources, referrals, and support services.
- Recruit and enroll eligible expectant mothers, infants, toddlers, and children while maintaining funded enrollment.
- Plan and facilitate parent training, support groups, socializations, and family engagement activities.
- Maintain accurate family records and enter required data into the program management system.
- Collaborate with education, health, and family services staff to address family needs.
- Participate in community outreach, recruitment events, staff meetings, and required training.
- Provide office, classroom, and phone coverage as needed while ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
