About The Position
Fitzmaurice Community Services, Inc. (FCS) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1966 that supports adults with behavioral health and intellectual disabilities. They aim to empower clients to achieve independence, individuality, productivity, and inclusion in the community. FCS provides environments that promote growth, success, and friendships through diverse programs and services. The organization is seeking a committed Family Support Specialist (FSS) to ensure the delivery of high-quality Agency With Choice services and maintain compliance with licensing standards and agency requirements. This role requires integrity, a thorough understanding of licensing regulations and legislation related to Intellectual Disabilities (ID), expertise, professionalism, and dedication to supporting excellence in care.
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Provide and maintain a Valid U.S. Driver’s License and insurable under company policy
- Experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Behavioral disabilities
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to pass and maintain CPR/First Aid
Responsibilities
- Participate in ongoing communication, support and training for families and staff
- Work with Service Coordinators
- Assists with tracking, maintaining, and collecting all AWC documents
- Monitor individual’s budgets, services, service hours/units, and utilization ensuring accuracy
- Maintain current knowledge of licensing guidelines and legislation in the ID field.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.
