Family Support Partners (FSP) are parents/caregivers who have first-hand experience with the various state systems. They have exhibited exceptional qualities in their own efforts to understand how systems work, an appreciation of what it takes to be successful, and possess the personal qualities that lend themselves to collaboration on various levels. The FSP serves as an advocate/mentor to parents currently involved with the system(s). An FSP is a life-trained paraprofessional who has successfully navigated child welfare, juvenile justice, medical/disability, and/or early learning systems.
