About The Position

A Family Support Partner (FSP) is a role model for recovery and resilience, offering vital support to caregivers of children or youth with behavioral health needs. An FSP is typically a parent or family member who has personally cared for a child involved in behavioral health services, bringing firsthand experience to their work. Drawing on their lived experiences, specialized training, and skills, FSPs guide and empower caregivers in navigating the challenges of supporting their child’s recovery journey. Through shared experiences, FSPs foster meaningful relationships and provide practical assistance, including teaching effective child-rearing strategies, behavior management techniques, and household organization skills. They also offer valuable insights on child development, age-appropriate behavior, and parenting expectations, while helping families access community resources and build supportive networks. By offering both emotional and practical support, FSPs play a crucial role in strengthening families and promoting long-term resilience. Arisa Health is Arkansas' largest and most comprehensive nonprofit behavioral health provider.
