About The Position

Blueprints is hiring a Family Support Coach at Maple Terrace in Washington, PA. This role is crucial for recruiting and enrolling eligible children and families into Early Learning programs, ensuring full enrollment and compliance with funding requirements. The Family Support Coach will implement the Whole Family Approach and Coaching strategies to achieve positive outcomes for participants, including family, participant, and community engagement. This position involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with participants through frequent, quality contact, and fostering parent and family engagement. A key aspect of the role is developing and implementing targeted strategies to engage fathers and male caregivers in the Head Start program and their child's development. The coach will also be responsible for meeting federal, state, and program documentation requirements, including maintaining accurate participant records and utilizing agency and funder databases, as well as adhering to Head Start Performance Standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum (2) years of professional experience working with participants facing socioeconomic issues in a professional capacity.
  • Minimum (1) year of case management experience.
  • Bachelor or Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or related field.
  • OR Certification in family services, social work, human services, or a related field with a minimum of two years of previous supervised work experience with young children and/or parents.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and enroll eligible children and families for the Early Learning programs to meet and maintain full enrollment to ensure compliance with funding requirements.
  • Implement the Whole Family Approach and Coaching throughout agency programs to achieve expected outcomes for participants, including family, participant, and community engagement.
  • Establish and implement a family partnership agreement process that is jointly developed and shared with participants in which staff and participants review immediate needs, individual progress, revise goals, evaluate and track whether identified needs and goals are met, and adjust strategies on an ongoing basis.
  • Create welcoming environments where participants feel valued, supported, and ready to contribute.
  • Stay up-to-date and well-informed about Blueprints, other community programs and resources to enhance and support goal attainment for participants.
  • Collaborate with program staff to ensure a cohesive, comprehensive services approach resulting in positive experiences and outcomes for participants.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with participants by maintaining frequent, quality contact (e.g., phone calls, informal contacts, meetings).
  • Foster Parent & Family engagement in programs.
  • Develop and implement targeted strategies to actively engage fathers and male caregivers in the Head Start program and their child’s development.
  • Meet federal, state and program documentation requirements by maintaining accurate, objective, complete, timely and well-organized participant recordkeeping including utilizing agency and funder databases.
  • Meet program requirements and other applicable regulations, e.g., Head Start Performance Standards.
  • Participate in required meetings and training opportunities which may involve out-of-town travel.
  • Responsible for obtaining and forwarding documentation for Non-Federal Share/In-Kind to Blueprints Early Learning.
