About The Position

The basic function of the CMO Family Support Aide is to provide efficient and effective data management and organizational support. The CMO Family Support Aide provides clerical and administrative support to the Case Management Organization front office. Job Knowledge: Consistently demonstrates support as part of the office / program management to meet departmental goals and objective. Demonstrates good judgment in making decisions in unprecedented situations. Seeks direction from supervisor when warranted. Refers to agency’s policies and procedures for guidance and decision making. Adheres to agency and departmental policies and procedures 100% of the time. Continually distributes agency mail and faxes in an accurate and prompt manner. Effectively organizes workload, using priorities to schedule and meet deadlines. Maintains files and notebooks of reports in an organized manner. Interacts with customers (employees and all other outside contacts) by verbal and non-verbal means that effectively transmit thoughts, feelings ideas and information. Identifies and focuses on meeting the needs of all customers (employees, guests, co-workers, and all other outside agencies). Serves as liaison between day-cares, accounting staff and FSC/care-givers. Uses computer programs efficiently to perform job responsibilities. Maintains confidentiality to include personnel file cabinets and applicant information. Completes COBRIS purchase requests for Family Preservation/Dependency staff as assigned; serves as liaison with Accounting department for financial requests. Send referrals to providers on new shelters. Orders birth medicals as needed for Dependency cases in absence of CMO Generalist. Scan and upload financial documentation as needed or required. Send ADS and Relative search letters as required and distribute returned letters to appropriate staff members. Assist with sending out ADS letters. Make monthly care-giver reminder calls for Medical and Dental appointments. Obtain medical and dental documentation as needed. Enter medical and dental appointments dates in FSFN. Assists FSC’s with emergency and/or planned transports as needed.   Professionalism: Maintains a professional attitude with others. Actively supports agency philosophy and goals. Works effectively as a team member. Displays a willingness to work on varying assignments. Continually displays a positive attitude to the department and the agency. Completes assignments per department and agency schedules. Displays adaptability to change in the work duties or settings, including being open to new ideas and approaches to current tasks. Actively seeks self-improvement opportunities (continuing education and professional development). Demonstrates ability to function independently to include follow through with assigned tasks. Utilizes interpersonal skills necessary for focusing, active involvement and participation. Answers telephone in a courteous and timely manner. Reports to work on time and ensures break and meal times are kept to acceptable limits. Provides proper notice for absences and tardiness. Completes other additional tasks, as assigned.

Requirements

  • AA degree preferred or equivalent amount of experience / education working with at-risk/mental health children and adolescents.
  • Driver’s License MUST be in good standing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and data entry programs
  • Use of an automobile and transporting children for emergencies and/or planned transports as needed.
  • Florida Driver's License must be valid and in good standing.
