About The Position

This position is responsible for planning, administering, monitoring, and evaluating the day-to-day operations of a small Family Store with a limited staff, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. The role involves processing, displaying, and pricing donated items to maximize financial return, assisting customers in a polite and friendly manner, preparing attractive and orderly store displays, and rotating/re-stocking merchandise for quick turnover. The manager also ensures the accountability and security of all store items and funds, and serves as a supervisor and/or lead worker to volunteers and/or subordinate store personnel.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D.
Three years supervisory experience working in a retail store environment.
Valid State Drivers License.

Responsibilities

Plans, administers, monitors, and evaluates the day-to-day operations of a small Family Store with a limited staff ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
Processes, displays, and prices donated items to ensure a maximum financial return on the sale of store items.
Assists customers in a polite and friendly manner.
Prepares store displays that are attractive, neat, and orderly.
Rotates and re-stocks store merchandise to ensure quick turnover.
Ensures the accountability and security of all store items and funds.
Serves as a supervisor and/or lead worker to volunteers and/or subordinate store personnel.
Prepares, processes, and maintains various sales records, tax forms and social service vouchers.
Prepares routine sales reports as directed.
Assists with sorting and pricing items and driving the forklift as needed.
Acts as back to Truck Driver during vacancies and absences.
Performs other duties as assigned.
