Family Specialist (FT) (Family Preservation Program)

This position will provide moderate to intensive family preservation services to families referred by the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services in the seven county Green River Region. Services include skill-based parenting education, assisting with goal setting, and coordinating referrals to community resources as needed to help prevent children and youth from entering foster care or other out-of-home placements.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required.
- A bachelor's degree in social work or a related field or an out of field degree with strong professional related experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide moderate to intensive family preservation services to families referred by the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services in the seven county Green River Region.
- Deliver skill-based parenting education.
- Assist families with goal setting.
- Coordinate referrals to community resources as needed to help prevent children and youth from entering foster care or other out-of-home placements.
