This role involves providing psychosocial support to individuals, families, and vulnerable populations facing challenges such as chronic illnesses, acute conditions, terminal illnesses, neglect, and abuse. The specialist ensures timely response to suspected abuse/neglect reports, provides guidance and supervision to other staff, and prepares comprehensive social histories and psychosocial diagnoses. They develop treatment plans, represent the agency in court proceedings, and deliver direct intervention for complex social work cases. Additionally, the role includes developing and conducting training for staff and professionals, supervising social work interns, conducting field visits, and coordinating program functions.
