About The Position

This position is primarily an in-office position, but with CDL bus-driving duties for Mobile Offices as the need arises. Mobile Office buses are used to respond to natural disasters and for occasional special events statewide. The role involves greeting clients professionally and kindly in an OKDHS retail space and on the bus, assessing client needs and determining eligibility for Adult and Family Services programs (including SNAP), interviewing clients in an office setting or via phone, managing a caseload, compiling data and completing documentation for social services eligibility, and making appropriate program referrals to community resources. The position also requires participation in individual and staff conferences and attendance at all mandatory training.

Requirements

Must possess a valid commercial driver's license.
Must maintain required car insurance.

Nice To Haves

A master’s degree.
A bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience in professional social work.
An equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one (1) year of experience in professional social work for each year of the bachelor’s degree.
Three (3) years of experience as a Family Services Specialist.

Responsibilities

Drive CDL buses for Mobile Offices as needed for natural disasters and special events.
