About The Position

The Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County is seeking a dedicated Family Services Specialist - Front Desk to advocate for families and help them access essential early learning programs and services. This role is crucial for making a lasting impact in the community by empowering families and ensuring they can access vital early learning resources.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Services, Social Work, or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in CCR&R, eligibility determination, or childcare enrollment processes.
Strong customer service and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ability to troubleshoot basic tech issues.
Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRMs and cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome customers in a friendly, professional manner, creating a positive first impression.
Monitor lobby traffic and wait times and assist with customer flow to minimize wait times and ensure a seamless experience.
Respond to customer inquiries and provide information and guidance regarding services and processes.
Provide Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) services.
Screen applicants for financial assistance and determine eligibility for programs such as School Readiness, VPK, CSC Scholarship, Head Start and Early Head Start.
Advocate for families, assess needs, and assist with enrollment, transfers, and service terminations.
Maintain accurate family information in the Enhanced Field System (EFS) database.
Support families with child developmental screenings and provide timely notifications about childcare status.
