About The Position

The Family Services Manager plays a vital role in ensuring compassionate and high-quality care for hospice clients and their families. You'll lead a team of dedicated professionals in Social Work, Spiritual Care, Volunteer Coordination, and Bereavement Support Services, guiding their work and ensuring seamless collaboration within the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required and Vermont Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) required/exam eligible and scheduled.
Minimum of five years of relevant hospice experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
At least two years of supervisory experience.
Strong understanding of hospice care, including social, spiritual, and bereavement needs of clients and families. Familiarity with the business of hospice.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Strong leadership, mentorship, and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

Certification in Hospice & Palliative Care or other related specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise, mentor, and develop hospice Interdisciplinary Team members, fostering a supportive and high-performing environment.
Oversee the leaders responsible for the delivery of high-quality care, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.
Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of hospice services, including identifying and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
Partner with clinical, administrative, and medical staff to ensure coordinated and holistic care for clients. Acts as liaison between senior leadership.
Represent the hospice program in the community, participating in educational events and building strong relationships with other healthcare providers.
Manage team schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
