About The Position

The Family Services Counselor (FSC) focuses on empowering families to solve problems, become self-sufficient, and strengthen their relations with a variety of community resources. FSCs provide clinical service delivery, including thorough family assessment, identification of strengths and risk factors within the family, family service plan development, implementation, and outcomes identified in each plan in collaboration with social workers. This is a part-time position to start, with the potential to move to full-time as caseload increases.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, social or behavioral science or closely related field OR Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral sciences or closely related field and two years’ paid experience delivering services to families and children.
  • Clear criminal history and pass a background check.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Current driver’s license, car, and car insurance.
  • TB Test (or ability to obtain within 7 days of first day of employment).
  • Currently have or ability to obtain: Licensed, certified or agency affiliated as a counselor in the State of Washington under Department of Health healthcare professional credentialing guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in social or behavioral science or closely related field from an accredited college or university plus minimum one-year experience working with children and families.
