The Migrant Child Care Family Services Advocate will implement a recruitment plan for enrolling eligible children in agency-operated childcare programs and/or with contracted providers. This role is responsible for assisting with recruitment and enrollment to ensure funded enrollment targets are met at the center level. The advocate will coordinate and monitor the enrollment of families, including verifying their eligibility status, ensuring 100% accuracy in funding source eligibility, and managing enrollment priority status. They will also coordinate and obtain necessary documents such as health information to ensure compliance with UMOS enrollment policy. The position involves implementing data management software to capture child data, family demographics, attendance, and vendor information for reporting purposes. Additionally, the advocate will verify income and eligibility qualifications, maintain a filing system for confidential information, and ensure timely data entry and submission of reports. They will provide end-of-season program reports and ensure compliance with mandated funded enrollment, tracking attendance metrics. Collaboration with Migrant Seasonal Head Start Family Service Advocates for a transitional program is also a key responsibility. The role includes assisting the Childcare Manager with pre-service training for program staff and reporting suspected child abuse and neglect as required by law and UMOS policies. Attendance at various meetings and program activities is expected, along with performing other assigned duties.
