About The Position

The Family Service Worker position will work closely with the Family Service Manager and the Center Manager to ensure that program requirements and goals are met and that exceptional services are provided.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Social Work, Social Services, Human Services OR Family Development Credential
• High School Diploma and two (2) years’ work experience in a related area required.
• Ability to use abstract reasoning, problem solving, planning and analytical skills
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Ability to present a positive image of the organization to members of the community
• Ability to work well with young children and adults from various socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; providing guidance to foster their optimum development
• Ability to prepare reports that are clear, complete, and comprehensive
• Ability to respond positively to Child Abuse/Neglect clearance check and criminal records check.

Nice To Haves

• Bi-lingual candidate preferred (Spanish & English speaking)

Responsibilities

• Serving as a liaison and advocate for the families by tapping into the various community resources that can assist with a family’s needs.
• Generating and maintaining family service files in accordance with programmatic guidelines.
• Facilitating monthly parent meetings.
• Assisting with outcome reporting.
