About The Position

This position is for individuals who have been recruited directly by a family or who are interested in providing one-to-one care for an individual receiving services. FRE services offer clients who cannot function in group settings the opportunity to access community resources or increase various skill levels with 1:1 support. This role can provide parents with respite, offering support during evenings, weekends, holidays, or nights, which typical agencies may not offer. The service preserves dignity by allowing trusted family members or chosen individuals to be paid for providing certain aspects of personal care, rather than an unfamiliar agency employee. Families can utilize these supports during their own hours of employment, allowing them to continue working with peace of mind that their loved one is in good hands at home.
