About The Position

Weiser Memorial Hospital is seeking a physician for its Family Medical Center to provide comprehensive medical evaluation and treatment to patients of all ages. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, maintaining patient confidentiality, and ensuring clear communication and professionalism. Key duties include fostering effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team, being sensitive to diverse cultural and developmental needs, and maintaining confidentiality. The physician will work with other medical professionals, delegate tasks appropriately, and engage in problem-solving and conflict resolution to support a positive team dynamic. The position offers a 4-day clinic work week and includes inpatient care with a 1:4 week call schedule, potentially involving occasional overnight shifts. Low-risk OB services are available, and C-sections are performed. Physicians will have access to a wide range of additional local services for consultation and collaboration, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Cardiology, and Podiatry. Ongoing professional development, including participation in meetings, continuing education, and performance improvement initiatives, is essential. As a member of Weiser Memorial Hospital, the physician is expected to adhere to service excellence standards, provide compassionate care, and comply with hospital policies and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Medicine or School of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Completion of a residency program in the applicable area of specialty.
  • Current Medical Licensure from the Idaho State Board of Medicine.
  • Demonstrated experience in Obstetrics (OB).
  • Current licenses with full prescriptive authority from the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the State of Idaho, Board of Pharmacy.
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine.
  • Willing to apply for and maintain Medical Staff Privileges with Weiser Memorial Hospital.
