About The Position
Responsibilities include medical diagnosis and treatment; the completion of appropriate documentation in the Electronic Health Record; participation in, and support of, quality assurance activities; adherence to strict confidentiality requirements; positive communication amongst staff and patients; and participation in professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Completion of a certified Nurse Practitioner Program
- At least one year experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Capacity to obtain proficiency in utilizing Center’s EMR system
- License or eligible for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland
- Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance license
- DEA license
- Currently BLS or ACLS certified
- Minimum to intermediate physical effort required. Job includes sitting, standing, reaching, trunk movements, lifting occasional heavy objects with assistance, carrying, dexterity of hands and fingers, and pushing and pulling.
- Duties frequently require extended periods of walking.
- Ability to pass vision and hearing screening as required.
- Frequent periods of concentration, with attention to details with frequent opportunity for diversification of tasks.
- Ability to articulate and comprehend the spoken English language
- Ability to read and write the English language
