About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated full-scope Family Physician to provide comprehensive primary and urgent care at the Texada Island Health Centre. Serving a population of about 1,100, This is a unique solo practice opportunity in a beautiful rural island community. This position offers a negotiable start date, though a prompt start is preferred. Your commitment will provide critical, long-term stability for this appreciative community.

Requirements

• Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) – Full or Provisional
• Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) – Mandatory
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary and urgent care services.
• Assess and diagnose a broad range of acute and chronic conditions.
• Initiate appropriate treatments and interventions.
• Provide professional guidance to other health professionals and participates autonomously as a member of the interdisciplinary health teams.
