About The Position

Pair Team is seeking a highly motivated, part-time Family Physician (contractor) to join their innovative, mission-driven company that is reimagining how Medicaid and Medicare serve underserved populations. As a tech-enabled medical group, Pair Team delivers whole-person care, including clinical, behavioral, and social services, by partnering with community-connected organizations. The company leverages AI and automation to reduce administrative burden and improve patient outcomes. This role is crucial for supporting the launch of Pair Team's Medicare program across multiple states, providing virtual care to Medicare patients with complex health needs. The Family Physician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and care managers, to deliver high-quality clinical care and address patient needs. Requirements

2+ years of clinical experience serving patients with complex social and healthcare needs.
Passionate about building a more equitable healthcare system.
Experience and desire to work closely with a multidisciplinary team.
Technology-savvy and experienced in digital-first healthcare (e.g., telemedicine).
Comfortable working in a variety of different tech platforms.
Physically located in California.
Have a quiet, HIPAA compliant, and internet-connected space.
Board certification or eligibility as a Family Physician.
Eligible to enroll in Medicare.
Comfortable and able to work with patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Experience working with and in Medicaid/FQHC clinics that are often underfunded/underserved.
Experience working with Medicare beneficiaries managing chronic disease.
Medical license in CA (plus additional state licensure or willingness to obtain additional licenses).
Active CA DEA or willing to get one.
Must be available for PST hours for urgent needs/support.

Responsibilities

Provide supervision for Nurse Practitioners who deliver multidisciplinary care to individuals with Serious Mental Illness/Substance Use Disorder, experiencing homelessness, and/or high medical needs.
Provide input on clinical programs being developed by the team.
Enable best-in-class virtual health care for underserved patients by collaborating with NPs, using internal care delivery technology, and applying clinical judgment.
Help develop and refine clinical programs to support patients holistically and address barriers/gaps in their care.
Collaborate and grow with a diverse and inclusive team.
Work from home with laptop and workstation provided.
