About The Position

Providence Community Health Center (PCHC) is seeking a Family Physician to join a collaborative team of clinicians, including Internists, Pediatricians, ObGyns, Family Physicians, and Behavioral Health Counselors. This role offers the opportunity to establish a patient panel across all age groups, advance your career, and address the healthcare needs of a vibrant Providence neighborhood. PCHC, established in 1968, is a large and innovative Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with eight neighborhood-based clinics, all recognized as Patient Centered Medical Homes. The organization serves over 80,000 patients with a team of 500 employees. Primary Care clinicians work weekdays, with a full-time schedule consisting of four days in the clinic and one day dedicated to remote administrative tasks. The center provides in-house specialist support for PCPs, utilizing a shared EMR (Epic!), and includes integrated behavioral health, optometry, dental, asthma/allergy, rheumatology, and podiatry services. Clinicians lead their own teams, supported by a dedicated Medical Assistant and an RN. Clinics are equipped with on-site labs, x-ray facilities, and other support resources. Rhode Island offers a high quality of life with 400 miles of coastline, diverse communities, abundant outdoor activities, a thriving arts scene, award-winning restaurants, and a collaborative medical community. The state is conveniently located an hour from Boston and three hours from NYC, with easy access to regional airports and natural attractions.
