About The Position

Marathon Health is seeking a Family Physician to provide patient-centered primary care to employees at assigned Marathon Health Centers through an Employer-Sponsored Direct Primary Care model. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice full-spectrum primary care with a smaller patient panel (800-1000 patients), allowing for longer appointment times (30-60 minutes) and enhanced provider-patient relationships. The model focuses on prevention, wellness, acute and chronic disease management, and improving health outcomes while reducing overall healthcare costs. Providers will work in a collaborative team environment, leveraging electronic medical records and population management tools. The role involves an insurance-free work environment, minimizing administrative tasks and paperwork, and utilizing technology for patient consultations. Physicians will collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of residency.
  • Professional experience in Family Practice or Internal Medicine + Pediatric.
  • Board certification or eligibility and intent to certify.
  • Active state license.
  • CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
  • May be required to have a dispensing license per state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered primary care to employees at assigned Marathon Health Centers.
  • Focus on prevention and wellness, acute and chronic disease management.
  • Maximize provider-patient relationships with longer appointment times.
  • Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and other team members.
  • Utilize electronic medical records and population management tools.
  • Engage in proactive work with patients to prevent diseases and injuries through lifestyle changes.
  • Consult with patients using technology, including mobile phones and secure email access.
