About The Position

Manuel Diaz Law Firm, PC. is a multi-practice law firm dedicated to guiding and empowering our community through exceptional legal services. We are seeking a self-motivated, bilingual (English/Spanish) Paralegal to join our Family Law Department. The Paralegal will provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of an attorney. This role requires excellent customer service skills, computer literacy, proficiency in English and Spanish, excellent secretarial and organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills
Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel; Adobe Acrobat)
Proficiency in English and Spanish
Excellent secretarial and organizational skills
Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure

Nice To Haves

Three (3) or more years’ experience as a paralegal or equivalent legal support role
Experience with divorces, SAPCR, custody, child support, modification, and enforcement matters

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to attorneys and enhance office efficiency.
Handle communications with clients, witnesses, and other parties.
Proactively maintain regular communication with clients to build trust and provide timely updates.
Locate, organize, and develop relevant case information.
Prepare, file, and maintain legal documents and correspondence.
Assist with obtaining and organizing documents from clients.
Answer and direct phone calls.
Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars.
Translations (In-office and Out-of-Office).
Draft Waiver of Service, Pleadings, Motions, Orders, Rule 11 Agreements, Correspondence, etc.
Other duties may be assigned by the Family Paralegal Supervisor, Associate Attorney, Managing Attorney for the Family Department, or the Chief Legal Officer.
