About The Position

Marathon Health is a leading advanced primary care provider that partners with employer and union plan sponsors to improve health for millions of Americans. They offer a value-based model through nationwide onsite, nearsite, and network health centers, as well as virtual primary care, to enhance the healthcare experience and drive cost savings. Marathon Health is certified as a Great Place to Work®, emphasizing an inclusive, high-trust culture. The company focuses on high-quality, proactive primary care for adults and children, emphasizing prevention, wellness, acute and chronic disease management, and maximizing provider-patient relationships. They seek providers passionate about full-spectrum primary care to achieve top-notch clinical quality, outstanding service, and reduced overall health costs. Providers benefit from a smaller patient panel (less than half the traditional PCP panel size), more time with patients (appointments ranging from 20 to 60 minutes), fewer administrative and insurance-related tasks, and the opportunity to work within a passionate team dedicated to improving the U.S. healthcare system. The physician-centered primary care model allows for enhanced relationships with a limited patient panel (800-1000 patients) and patient-centered medicine in a capitated-fee environment without time restrictions. Appointments of 30-60 minutes allow extra time for the care team to spend with patients. The model aligns incentives by focusing on improving health outcomes and patient engagement, removing distorted fee-for-service incentives. The focus is on preventive care, enabling providers to proactively work with patients on lifestyle changes before diagnosis. The practice approach offers an insurance-free work environment, alleviating paperwork and increasing time for patient care. Technology is leveraged for patient consultations and access via mobile phones and secure email. The medical model utilizes electronic medical records and population management tools, with a dedication to quality, clinical outcomes, and patient service experience. Physicians demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork and collaborate with at least two or more Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
