About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Cairo, GA. The FNP will provide patient-focused care, contributing to urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. This role is ideal for individuals who can lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care setting. The position is open to new graduates, with comprehensive training and ongoing support provided, including a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course and an NP on-call for clinical decision-making assistance. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from babies to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and enhances marketability. The role emphasizes leadership, with FNPs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and a team of medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities by providing much-needed access to care, with clinics open 362 days a year. Many clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants, and the company assists with the application process. Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers cost).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures such as toenail removal and foreign object removal.
  • Suture and splint.
  • Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
  • Address general dermatology and general eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Provide general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine appointments.
